Summary of major changes from v1.xxx to v2.xxx
Version 2.x of the RAS-24 System Software now operates under Windows 2000 and Windows XP as well as Windows 98 and Windows ME. The new version provides many new features and enhancements that make the RAS-24 more productive than ever. Below is a list of the major changes from previous versions (1.x) of the RAS-24 System Software.

Version 2 is now a full 32-bit program with 32-bit file Open/Save dialogs which support rename/delete/move/copy and long filename support.
Added toolbar support. Four toolbars - Standard, Operating, Test, and File Viewer - have icons for all major program operations. The toolbars may be docked along edges of the screen, floated anywhere on the desktop or turned off to maximize viewing area.
Explorer style seismic file viewer with file rename/copy/move. The file viewer features adjustable pane size and single click loading of seismic files for easy management of your seismic data.
Context sensitive menus available by right clicking on various areas of the main window.
Customizable display colors for the main window.
Real time scrolling of the seismic data in the main window using the scroll thumb.
Ability to select channels for individual trace size control.
Channel freeze - freezes (stops) stacking on selected channels after desired signal level has been reached.
Firstbreak picking with ASCII export. Firstbreaks may be dragged or shift clicked into position. The resulting picks can be exported as an ordinary text file for use by other programs.
On screen, moveable pick lines with variable numbers of line segments and slopes, for aid in first break picking and determining velocities on reflection records.
Program is now internationally aware and uses the regional settings to adjust the formatting of text, numeric fields and dates.
Main window is continuously resizable.
Support for virtual serial ports - allows the use of USB to Serial adapters in laptops that don't have a serial port built in.
Support for the USB-100 and USB-200 USB interfaces. The USB-100/200 interfaces offer a number of advantages over the standard serial interface..
